Our Mission

Welcome to Brandy’s Wax and Wicks! My name is Madison Brandy and my husband David and I work together to hand make and put together everything you see here. It’s truly a family owned small business and we want to say thank you for checking us out and considering shopping with us today.
When I got pregnant with our first child I was so very excited! While getting ready to welcome in our newest little member to the family, I quickly started realizing how many things I would need to do to "baby proof" the house. I switched to a more eco-friendly, child safe cleaner for the house, started thinking about eating better, and began thinking about the toxic fragrances I had in the house. I thought to myself, "Do I REALLY know what is in these things? Are they safe for me or my family?". I did some research and it turns out, I really didn't know how toxic some of them are! This is where Brandy's Wax and Wicks was born.
We strive to have the highest quality products, that are safe for your family, with affordable prices. We use all natural soy wax, lead and zinc free wicks, and phthalate free fragrance oils. Not only are they non-toxic and safe for the whole family, but they are also eco-friendly. Soy wax is made from natural soybeans. It burns cleaner, with little to no soot, is non-toxic and lasts longer by burning cooler, giving you the most out of your candles. Soy wax is made from a renewable source grown in many regions, and we only buy USA made. By supporting candles made from soy beans you are supporting local farming as well!

After a year of perfecting and launching our business I started to think about how I want this business to reach and impact more than just our little family. I researched charities, fundraisers, and non-profits but none of them seemed like a good fit for us. Not that they weren't worthy of giving money to, but they just didn't seem like a good fit for us. We kept looking until one day while sitting in church listening to the pastor talk about an earthquake that had just hit Haiti, it hit me. I knew what our business needed to do.
We put together the Haiti relief candles and all of the money made from those got donated to helping relief efforts in Haiti. The first week we launched these, we raised over $200 and while this was unfolding before me the words that kept bouncing around in my head were "small business, big purpose" and that is where our new mission was born.
Our "Small Business, Big Purpose" initiative is still in the early stages but is quickly becoming a reality with the help of people just like you. Soon we will be launching a specific collection of candles all with the purpose of raising money for people in need. Whether that's helping out after a natural disaster or helping a family in need, we want to bless others with the gifts we have been given. Without you guys this wouldn't be a possibility, so thank you for entrusting us with the task to bless others.
